Our Beliefs

  • · The scriptures are authoritative, true and sufficient. (2 Timothy 3:16)

    · In scripture, God the Holy Spirit is defined in personable terms. The Holy Spirit teaches, guides, comforts and intercedes. The Holy Spirit can be grieved. A true believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30)

  • · There is only one triune God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit- 3 distinct persons and yet one God. Although one God, the Father is neither the Son nor the Holy Spirit, The Son is neither the Father or the Holy Spirit, and The Holy Spirit is neither The Father or The Son (Genesis 1-26; Psalm 110:1; Mathew 3:13-17, Mathew 28:17-20

  • · Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was with God since the beginning (John 1:1-4). Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and is both fully God and fully man.

    · God the Father sent his Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for my sins so that I could have eternal life. (Romans 5:8)

    · Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He will one day return to judge the living and the dead.

  • · All of humanity is by birth and nature a sinner. The penalty for sin is death. (Genesis 6:5, Jeremiah 17:9, Roman 3:23, Roman 5:12, 6:23, James 1:14-15

  • · The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers according to The Holy Spirits will (1 Corinthians 12:1). The spiritual gifts as seen in scripture are still available even today. All believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit once saved, however being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience that believers should continually desire in order to edify the body of believers and to continue in God's will.

  • · Water Baptism should be done only by a believer. It is done as an act of obedience of Christ's command [Mathew 28:19-20], it is also done to signify a person’s former way of life has been put to death and the believer is symbolically joining God’s family.

  • · We believe marriage is intended for the permanent union between one man and one woman. God alone has the final authority to describe the marital union. (Genesis 2:24; Mathew 19:1-9; Mark 10:1-12)

  • · Sexual intimacy is only to be pursued within the marital relationship between the union of one man and one woman. The Lord clearly forbids this outside the marital relationship. Along with this, sexual immorality is prohibited and is defined as any sexual activity that is done outside of the marital relationship which includes but is not limited to adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or even lustful intent toward such, as sinful and ultimately unsatisfying.
